Method 1: Apply To Google Adsense

1. Create A Google Account

If you already have a Gmail account, then you already have a Google account. If not, you can register for free.

With a Google Account, you can use all Google servicesincluding Google AdSense. You can do this through Google.

You will be able to sign in to Google AdSense with your Google account after you have an account.

2. You Should Have Your Website Or Blog A While Before You Apply

Google looks at your page more benevolently if you have it six months before you apply for Google AdSense.

It is not impossible to get the release for pages that you have not had so long, but your chances are higher if you have the page longer.

If you live in countries like China or India, you may have to reach the threshold of six months.

3. Operate A Page With Original Content

You must have appropriate access to edit the HTML code of the web page in which you want to add ads. You can not use Google AdSense when you submit an account that is not yours, and if you do not have access to this feature.

If you do not have a blog or web page that allows you to change the source code, you can create a new blog via Google’s Blogger service. You can view Google Ads on this page without copying HTML to the page. Registration at Blogger is fast and free. You do not need a blogger page if you have a web page or blog for which you can edit the HTML source code.

4. Sign Up For Google Adsense

First of all, go to google adsense. You are asked what kind of advertiser you are.

You can submit an application for Google AdSense online.Choose the type of advertiser that best describes you, how new, experienced, etc. Click “Get Started”.

You can even use Google AdSense if your site already shows Google ads. But publishers can only have one account under each name.

You will be prompted to select the types and formats for the advertisements you want to have on your site. If you choose more options, you have more ways to make money. Available display types include display ads, pure text ads, or a mixture of both.

5. Provide Google AdSense Key Data

You must provide your bank account number and postal address. This is necessary for you to get your money.

You are asked to provide the full address for your bank account, including the postal code.In addition, you must specify the URL of your website and choose the language in which the ads should be.

Customize the ads. You can change the appearance of advertisements and also select where you want them to appear on your page. You can use automatic targeting to ensure that your ads are relevant to the users on your page.

6. Follow The Rules If You Want A Share

AdSense only allows people who are at least 18 years of age.

If you are younger than 18, a parent or guardian can submit a request through his or her own Google Account. When approved, the payments go to the parents’ account.

The system marks sites that are negative or not suitable for families or could be viewed as offensive. Examples of prohibited content are hacking, drugs, alcohol, copyrighted materials, weapons, and content that are illegal.

Method 2: Improve your content

1. Quality Articles with Unique Content

If your website is not under the prohibited category, the next thing to look out for is the articles in your website. Google is always very strict about copyrighted content, or content which is copied from other source. So you should make sure, you are not copying any content from other website and also not using any copyrighted materials.

In addition to this, Google also checks for the quality of articles, whether the content provides any real value to the visitors and the content is unique. As you know “Content is King”, I would suggest writing all articles with minimum of 600 words so that Google knows that you have optimized your post well and makes your chances of approving your website.

2. Pages Required

The other important thing Google analyze when you apply for adsense is, your identity and your website policies. So, in order to tell Google, that you are a real person behind the website make sure you have all the following pages in your website.

  • About – A clear About Page, which explains about you personally and if possible add your own image. Also I would suggest you to mention your email address in your about page which you applied for adsense, which helps Google to understand that you are active with the email and not using for adsense sake.
  • Contact Us – Provide a Contact page with a form or details to contact you personally regarding any queries about your content or website.
  • Terms of Usage – Make sure you explain clearly the terms and conditions on using your website, also don’t forget to mention any additional information that user may require in order to use the website.
  • Privacy Policy – This page should let know the users the policies they must adhere in order to use the website, and also provide them with clear information on what information you are getting and storing from users when they visit your website.
  • Disclaimer – Normally disclaimer page will explain about your policy towards third party websites, and to whom the website belongs, and to which website is being referred to and what liability is accepted by you, etc.

3. Minimum Number of Post - Write Longer And More

Once you have started to post high quality articles, next thing to consider is the number of post required to submit your website for adsense approval. Though Google has not stated any requirement on the minimum number of articles required.

It is important that your website or blog has many high quality articles with original content. If you simply post the work of other people, the likelihood of you being admitted is lower.

It is always better to have about 20-30 articles in your website before getting in to approval process.

The reason why I say 20-30 articles is, as I said earlier, Google is strict on publishers and they expect their publishers to be serious about business, So submitting your website with these minimum of 30 articles will raise your website credibility and also to let Google Know that you are serious about business and also it will prove the fact that you are regularly updating your website with content.

Make sure you use images and have content that appears comprehensive. It is a good idea to have content on each page and in each category of this website. Empty pages without content? Red flag.

It is a good idea to have two longer articles with at least 2,000 (or at least 500 words). Focus on good content. It is also a good idea to have at least about 50 pages for bottoms and articles. If you have a lot of short posts (less than 200 words), they could not be considered as viable by Google.

Since nowadays Google have started rejected application stating “insufficient Content”, it is better to have atleast 20 articles before applying for adsense approval.

4. Have The Right Content

Obviously you have to work in an area for which you have a passion. However, if you have a lot of good articles in specific categories, Google AdSense might allow you more quickly.

Some categories that interest Google AdSense include travel, lifestyle, health, legal, and business.

If you have prohibited content on your site, such as Pornography or hate talks against a group of people, prepare yourself for a rejection. Even if you only blog about events, you can get a cancellation.

5. Keep Your Side In Balance

Strong content should contain a mixture of text and other media (e.g., photos).

On a page with lots of text and no pictures, no positive impression of your website is created.

In addition, you should have a balanced amount of external and internal links on your website. Your site might look more like spam if you have a lot of external links on one page. Make sure all links on your website work.

6. Website Niche

First things first, The important thing before applying for Google adsense is to make sure your website is under the category which Google approves. Basically Google is family friendly and they are very strict on categories like, Gambling, Adult websites, Casinos, Betting etc. Google will not entertain these categories and will reject your application straight away, if you fall under any of these categories. You can find the list of prohibited categories here.

Method 3: Improve your website

1. SEO Optimized

When designing the website template, make sure you are optimizing the theme with on page optimization tags, Which is really important when it comes to ranking your website and also in adsense approval process.

Since, Google receives number of application per day, practically it is not possible to analyze each and every website manually in the first phase, So it uses their Spider algorithm(Google bot) to analyze your website. These bot can read only the tags and the content inside particular tags, so if you are not optimizing your website with all the meta tags you might end up in rejecting in adsense application.

The other advantage of having the correct SEO optimized tags is, it will help you to optimize the on page SEO and help in search engine rankings.

In addition to this, while optimizing your website; provide a clear navigation structure, which will help users to navigate around your website without any difficulties.

2. Build Traffic Before You Apply

If you have more users, your chances will rise. However, you do not really need large amounts of traffic to get Google AdSense.

Therefore, it is a good idea if you do not apply directly after creating your site for Google AdSense. Make your website a little mature and apply for Google AdSense if you are already getting traffic.

The traffic is considered for the share. A rule of thumb is that you should not apply until you have at least 50 visitors a day on your website.

3. Get An Individual Domain Name

If you have a free domain name, Google AdSense will not take you seriously.

It only costs a few euros to get your own domain name. Your domain name should not be long and should not contain any sexual references. Domain endings like .com, .org and .net are appreciated. Unique domain names are more desirable.

You should also create an email with your domain name. Apply to Google AdSense with this email address.

4. No Third party Ad network Or Programs On Your Website

If you are using any third party ad network when applying for adsense, I suggest you to remove all the ads for time being until your adsense account get approved.

Though are you are allowed to use third party ads along with adsense, if there are too many third party ads, Adsense verifying team will think you are passionate only on earning and not on providing information to users, which will have a chance to reject your adsense application.

Keep away from things like Yahoo ads, Infolinks or other networks, especially from Google AdSense competitors.

Avoid a lot of widgets on your side as well as affiliate links.Once your site is approve you can add all type of ads or affiliates.

5. Website Age

Since Google is very strict on publishers by imposing some hard rules, and to protect their advertisers from spam clicks and other illegal activities, Adsense has mentioned that any website applying for adsense should be minimum 6 months old. This is to ensure that you are a serious blogger and updating your website regularly. This rule apply only to publishers in India, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan and some other Asian countries.

Though Google has imposed this rule, if you have a blog which is well optimized with high quality contents and meeting all the basic requirement, you can even get your website approved in 2 months old website. Since, I have personally helped some of my friends to get adsense approval for 2 months old blog.

6. Website Theme

Website theme is one of the important factor in adsense approval, Make sure you have a theme which looks simple and clean, Instead of using some fancy widgets and making your website clustered. Since at the end Adsense is worried only about the content and not the design you use.

The other advantage of using light weighted theme is, it will improve your website performance and reduce the load time of your website. Google also considers the website load time, in order to calculate how much time it will take to load your website to display the ads.

So if you are using a clean and simple theme which is easy to navigate and provide good user experience, you have better chance of getting your adsense account approved.

If you are running your blog on wordpress platform, there are number of free and a paid theme, which looks simple and clean can help you in making this step whole lot easier.

7. Have A Strong Design

It’s important how your website looks. If it looks decent and professional and has a good design, Google AdSense is more likely to see its ads on your website.

Focus on creating a good navigation on your website. You do not want them too crowded or stuffed with obsolete graphics like blinking or twisting animations or glittering icons. A good design includes a header, an area for the content, a sidebar, a footer and so on.

Stick to a professional color scheme (like primary colors) and use a professional template that you have installed on your website. For example, WordPress, you can easily import various professional themes for your website.

8. Use Google Analytics Code On Your Website

Google Analytics is a separate Google program that allows web site owners and bloggers to track their numbers, e.g. Traffic.

If you’ve installed Google Analytics on your site, the people who approve the applications for Google AdSense are probably the more serious website owners. This is because people who are not just amateurs, want to analyze their numbers properly.

To sign up for Google Analytics, simply go to the page and sign up for the You will get a tracking code that you can embed on each page.

You can sign up for the Google Webmaster program, which allows you to track and resolve critical bugs on your website. Sign up for Google Webmasters on the Internet. You can add a sitemap to your site. If you use WordPress, you can do this through Google XML Sitemaps.

9. Copy The Ad Code

You must click the “My ads” section of your AdSense account. Find the ad code (this is code for embedding). You must include it on a page that gets traffic.

Put the ad code on the website that you use to advertise with AdSense. You should select the selected page carefully. You will want a page that has both content and regular visitors.

If you do not embed the ad code in an active page, it might take a long time to get accepted, if at all. You will be notified by e-mail.

10. Turn SEO Into Your Posts

A search engine optimization shows that you are serious about your website.

Google AdSense reviewers are looking for things like Whether you have a Meta Description and a Meta Title.

Keep your Meta Title at about 69 characters, including the Meta Description, at about 156 characters, including spaces.

11. Check Your Request

After you log in to your AdSense account for the first time, you’ll see a red bar at the top of your account. This means that your application will be examine.

Google Adsense launches an automatic review after it is detected that you have included the ad code on a page of your web page that you registered with. However, the entire website is checked, not just this page.

Normally, it takes one to two days for the verification to complete. You will receive an e-mail with details as soon as your page has been checked. Once your application has been reviewed, ads will automatically appear on your website. You can not see the red warning in your account.

Once your application has been fully approved, AdSense ads will appear automatically on your page, and the red alert in your account will disappear.

12. Google XML Sitemap

As I said earlier, Google uses its algorithm to read your websites and also to understand the content, it is better to have an XML sitemap, which will help Google to navigate your website and understand the pages and post you have published.

So once, your website satisfies all these basic requirements, you can apply for Google adsense here, and also make sure to understand their TOS once before submitting.
